5 Steps to Getting Your Site Indexed Before Its Launched

Most SEO professionals agree that the SEO tasks you complete before launching your site are very important. These include things like meta tags and keyword research. While these are important, very few SEO professionals talk about what a great advantage it is to have your site indexed before you launch it. It doesn’t take long, and it’s not very involved, so why not have MSN, Yahoo, and Google index your site before it even goes live?

The way to go about getting your site indexed before launch is to have sites that are already indexed point to your site. When the already indexed sites are crawled by the search engines, those search engines will find the links to your site. Voila! Your site is indexed by the search engines! Starting roughly one month before you launch, follow these 5 steps.

1. Choose a Domain Name. Then register it. This is not a task to be left until the last minute. The sooner you register, the sooner quality links will be pointing to it and ensuring that it is indexed.

2. Create a Home Page. This should consist of your company logo, some information about your company, and the announcement that your page will be “coming soon.” Another good addition to the page is a form where visitors can sign up to receive updates via e mail. That way, your email list is starting to take shape even before your site is launched.

3. Blog. Use whatever platform appeals to you most and start a blog at the address yoursite.com/blog. Post a little bit about your site and include some of the things your visitors can expect when the launch finally occurs. After you’ve published your first post, get a Feedburner account. Sign up for “Ping Shot,” which will tell blog directories that you’re posting. This should get a few links pointing to your site.

4. Submit to Directories. You are an expert in your market niche, so start writing some articles related to your area of expertise. Once your articles are proofread, submit them to directories such as iSnare and Ezine Articles. Make sure that you provide a description of your business and link to your website in the resource box. Like the “Ping Shot,” this should get a few links pointing back to your website.

5. Get Links. Since Feedburner and the article directories to which you submit your articles are indexed sites, completing the previous two steps will get you well on your way to getting links from sites that are already indexed by search engines. But you can always do yourself a favor by getting even more links from indexed sites. Find someone you know who has a blog or a business website within your market niche to link to your website. Or you could even link to it from your personal blog if you have one and if it’s already been indexed. If no one is willing to link to your site, offer them the opportunity to advertise on your site for free when your site is finally launched.

There’s no excuse for not getting your site indexed before it’s launched. It takes a little bit of extra time and effort on your part, and it may involve asking for a few favors from people within your niche, but the effort required is minimal compared to the payoff that comes from being indexed before your big launch. If you need other ideas for getting your site indexed, or for getting ahead of the game when it comes to SEO for your website, don’t hesitate to call on the expertise of an SEO or internet marketing professional. These professionals can help you determine how to get ahead of the game when it comes to preparing for your big site launch.

You can make $1,000 to $10,000 a week working just 2 to 3 hours a day at home. You can even work in your pajamas!

STOP!

Go to the top right hand corner of your computer screen and click on the little red box with the X in it. Now! Someone is trying to turn a quick buck over your desire to make money working at home. And what will you get for your $49.95, yet another round of frustration and disappointment. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been there, done that.

So you’re new to the game (the technical term is “newbie”) and you’re already tired of empty promises and a quickly thinning wallet. You have an affiliate website picked out or one you really think you can turn into a residual income generating monster. So what do you do now?

What do you do now?

That’s a good question. Your new affiliate website is a “carbon copy” of 100 to 1000 websites identical to your own. Is there a way to distinguish your website from the other hopeful runners in the race to the finish line?

As a matter of fact, there is!

And believe it or not, you’re already here.

Think.

Think hard!

If you are reading this article, you are looking for a way to make money online. Hello? If you already knew how, you wouldn’t be reading this. Now would you? I didn’t think so. You can accomplish six months worth of SEO simply by submitting a single article to Ezine @rticles. Perhaps you can’t figure out how to get your website a page one ranking on Google. But a well written, content rich, article can shoot to page one for all your key word search terms in a matter of days after posting.

Fact, Google, Yahoo, and MSN love Ezine Articles. Ezine Articles is the granddaddy of all articles directories. Ezine Articles has a long established track record for providing content rich information to the masses. Their level of credibility is unsurpassed in the online arena. The search engine spiders are just waiting to jump on the next article that receives the Ezine seal of approval. And the second they find it, they’ll pounce!

Longevity is yet another key factor to consider when you’re trying to break into the online business world. There are Ezine articles that have been sitting on page one of Google for years, ranking in highly competitive key word phrases such as, make money online, work at home business, and residual income. Think how much long term traffic you can generate to your website with a page one ranking in your selected key word phrases. You are suddenly no longer just another affiliate program marketer. You are now a page one ranked author in Google’s search engine with a back link directed straight to your website in your resource box. That is the quintessential essences of the term SEO.

Can you think of a better way to start generating traffic to your website on a budget? Exactly! There is none. Article submission is, by far, the best and easiest way to stand out from the crowd in an endless sea of affiliate websites. And the best part is, it’s free!

The power of the written word is the key to success.

If you want to get your home based business off the ground, stop reading and start typing. Type, type, and then type some more. Don’t stop, even if you feel like you’re wasting your time. You may feel that way now. But you’ll become a believer the second you see your article sitting on Google’s first page.

One final note to save you needless frustration:

If you submit an article with an affiliate link in the resource box, your article will not be approved. You must either purchase a Domain name and use a redirect, or create a landing page. This distinguishes the serious publisher from anyone looking to just make a quick buck in Ezine’s eyes. Call this a FREE piece of advice, one most Internet Gurus will not share with you.

There are many ways to market your online business. Article submissions can be just what you need to start making money online. For a complete review of the most comprehensive marketing program I have yet to find on the internet, visit my website. Best of Luck!
